Position Summary: Counter Sales Manager
Job Description:
The Counter Sales Manager is responsible for managing customer orders, both in person and over the phone, from stocked merchandise based on customer specifications. This includes processing sales orders, handling payments (cash, credit/debit), and keeping accurate records of outgoing orders. The role also involves selling merchandise to customers, providing product support, and assisting with the processing of returns and exchanges.
In addition to sales duties, the Counter Sales Manager will handle receptionist responsibilities, such as answering inquiries and providing information to customers, visitors, and other stakeholders about the company’s products and services. Clerical duties include answering phones, filing, typing, and general office administration. This role supports the sales funnel by helping to attract new prospects and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Sales:
- Handle retail and contractor sales for stock items.
- Process customer orders and generate sales invoices.
- Provide product information and support.
- Estimate costs for specific projects and provide quotes for stock materials.
- Coordinate order fulfillment and dispatch requests.
- Manage cash register transactions and payment processing.
- Office Administration:
- Answer phone calls, emails, and direct inquiries.
- Handle office tasks such as copying, faxing, and emailing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Price, tag, and prepare items for sale.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation.
- Collaborate effectively with the team and prioritize quality and efficiency in all tasks.
Qualifications:
- Pre-Requisites:
- Successful completion of a clean drug test.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills.
- On-the-Job Training:
- Product knowledge and training.
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Point of Sale systems.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Range: $21-28 hourly
