The Jack

FLAGSTAFF, AZ

MYEFSKI Architects drew on the residential vernacular of downtown Flagstaff, layering Spec Brik against board-and-batten upper floors to give The Jack a material weight that reads as permanent rather than developer-generic. Ponderosa Red and San Diego Buff units run across the full four-story facade and wrap into the planter walls and stair bases at street level, tying the building to its sidewalk context. The two-tone blend softens the mass while the coursing stays consistent through every condition — corners, window surrounds, and the covered parking entry — a level of execution that holds up to close inspection.
